Ron Dennis said about De la Rosa's position for next season: Pedro will part part of our team in 2007. He is a very strong driver, but so is Hamilton. Many of the aero pieces used to create down force are going to be banned. The people saying we will not continue our success in 2007 are the same ones who said we had won the title in Canada, or that Ferrari had won by Monza. The team has gobs of money, but one has to look at the last five years to see the potential problem.

Indeed, Formula One stands at a key point in time. They are people making quick judgments, not looking at the facts. This was the first ever GP race in Hungary with rain and it created much indecision at the beginning of the race, no-one really knew what tyres to use, it was slippery even catching De La Rosa out on the warm up lap, with a spin. The race then started and from the first corner there was wheel-to-wheel action resulting in one of the best Grand Prixs ever in recent years. Officials eventually decided that Massa did not gain an unfair advantage over Sutil. Team Ferrari was fined 10,000 euros because of the safety issues caused by the incident.

Earlier today it was announced that Davidson will join Super Aguri as the team's race driver. RenaultF1 team boss Flavio Briatore will see many changes at Renault in 2007. This clean slate means the teams cannot just continue to develop the 2008 cars.
