The 2008 Formula One season has just ended in what can only be called dramatic fashion. Massa's sheer speed could not be rivaled by Lewis Hamilton, who finished second for McLaren-Mercedes. Controversy surrounded Massa's pit stop during lap 37 after which he was released illegally into the path of Force India's Adrian Sutil. When the next race comes, these two will be gunning for each other, driving like two men on a desperate mission to claim the ultimate Grand Prix F1 prize.

Before Alonso arrived at McLaren for his one blustery year, the team was not competitive with Ferrari. Alonso isn't just a quick driver, he is very good in communicating with the team which is very important. It simply does not get any better or crazier than that. We even won ten races in 2005 and not win a title.

The ability of Williams to continue to take a financial beating is also very questionable. If Formula One loses many of its privateers, the races will become a farce. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to work with one of the top manufacturers in Formula One and alongside two of the best race drivers. The people saying we will not continue our success in 2007 are the same ones who said we had won the title in Canada, or that Ferrari had won by Monza.
