BMW Sauber F1 driver Nick Heidfeld has high expect... When Hamilton decided to stop in the pit two laps later, Massa cruised to victory. Hamilton was fine with second place, though, as he had an undisclosed health problem. The German believes the new car will be a big improvement that will move the team forward again. McLaren team boss Ron Dennis is convinced his team can give double world champion Fernando Alonso a strong package in 2007. Earlier today it was announced that Davidson will join Super Aguri as the team's race driver. Looking ahead of the 2007 season Webber told the official Australian Grand Prix website: I want to have the best season in Formula One that I've ever had, I think we're well overdue for that. I am very much looking forward to driving the car for the first time when winter testing begins.

In the first month of the year Webber will have his first outing for his new team. There have always been dominant teams and also rans, but the ability of the also rans to even form a team is now in question. With the economy going in the tank, it appears to be only a matter of time before Williams calls it a day. He has to have something to work with however, and the current Honda set up is just all wrong.

For me, there is a great motivation in beginning a new era without Fernando, and proving that the strength of Renault is about more than one person. RenaultF1 team boss Flavio Briatore will see many changes at Renault in 2007. Alonso is a champion and we must build him a winning car in order for him to clinch the title again.
